Countess of Munster

Recital Scheme

Since 1958, through the generous endowment made by Hilary FitzClarence, the 5th Countess of Munster, the Trust has been supporting incredible young talent at an early stage of their development. From Study Award Grants for Post Graduate Students to participation on the Recital Scheme, which offers the most promising talent the opportunity to perform at music clubs and venues across the UK.

Over the years a host of famous musicians have received support from the Trust, including such eminent musicians as Imogen Cooper, Louise Alder, Nicholas Daniel, Lawrence Power, Alison Balsom and Oliver Nussen.

The Recital Scheme is funded by the Trust (supporting up to two performers in any concert) to give the artists a professional platform, exposure to audiences across the country and performances to aid their development and career prospects. Music Clubs also benefit from introductions to these talented musicians and the subsidy that the Trust provides. The Trust is delighted to be joining the UK Musicians Directory which gives the Munster Trust Recital Scheme artists more visibility and profile alongside UK-based YCAT artists and Associate Artists.
